Susanna Gregorian, prize-winning German –Armenian trained Violinist has launched her successful solo career with two recent recordings of Mozart Violin Concertos & Armenian Repertoire.
Susanna was born in Armenia. Her exceptional talent was discovered early on and at the tender age of five she took her first violin lessons by grandfather A.Dzufalakian. A year later Susanna entered at the Gnessin College of Music for the exceptionally talented children. Then she continued studies with Prof.Maya Glezarova’s violin class at the Moscow Conservatory.
Since 1994 Susanna has been living in Cologne, where she continued post- graduate studies by Sashko Gavriloff and Victor Tretjakow violin class at the *Hochschule fuer Musik* Koln.
In years 1992-2000 she was a 1.Concertmaster of Philharmonie der Nationen Orchestra with founder pianist & conductor Justus Frantz.
Her career has taken her to France, Italy, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Finland, Spain, Australia, Canada, the UK, Scotland, Ireland and the USA.
In 1997 Susanna won the Mozart Prize at the Carl Flesh Academy in Baden-Baden and First Prize at the International Duo Competition in memory of Christian Ferras & Pierre Barbizet in Marseille, France. In 1999 she won III prize at the International Viotti Competition in Italy.
Susanna has made broadcast recordings for Radio Moscow, West German Radio (WDR), Radio Suisse Romande. She signed with CHANDOS Records Ltd on MP3 Files with her new CD recordings under “New Artists” www.chandos.net
As a soloist, as well as leader of many orchestras, including the London Symphony and Covent Garden, Susanna has performed with such famous names as Rostropovich, Maazel, Mehta, Domingo, Kashkashian, Frantz, Gergiev, Boulez, Pergamenschikov & Yuri Bashmet .
During year 2007 Susanna has successful tours in Australia with a solo concerts in Sydney Opera House ,Canada, UK, Ireland and Spain.
She played by live-Interview on BBC classic program in Foyle, Ireland.
In 2008 Susanna gave a successful Debut-recital at the Wigmore Hall, London –UK.
2008-2011 she played as soloist together with Yuri Bashmet and his Chamber Orchestra, on II Y.Bashmet Winter Festival in Sochi Russia.
Concerts at “III Festival del Mediterrani-Zubin MEHTA” in Palau les Arts , En mayo 2018 Solo Recital in Sala Rodrigo , Palau de la Musica , Valencia.
During period 2012 till present time Susanna gave Master classes at different International Music Academy as IMFV Valencia-Altea , SIM International Seminars at the Conservatorio Profesional in Valencia and ALMA International Music academy in Spain where Ms.Gregorian was a main leading professor of Violin class .
