Peter Verduyn Lunel

Peter (flute) started during his studies as solo flautist at the Heidelberger Kammerorchester, after which he joined the Dutch Radio Symphony Orchestra and nowadays he plays as principal flute with the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra. Peter regularly performs as a guest-player with other Orchestras like Amsterdam Sinfonietta, The Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. As soloist Peter Verduyn Lunel made several tours that led him through Europe and North America. On baroque flute, he performed with the celebrated French alto Nathalie Stutzmann and her ensemble Orpheo 55. In 2014 Peter played together with Olivier Patey and Amsterdam Sinfonietta the Dutch premiere of “Warum” by Sofia Gubaidulina, for flute, clarinet and string orchestra.
He also made a name as a Chamber music player with a wide range of repertoire. He performs regularly with pianists Klara Würtz, Bernd Brackman and Thomas Beijer, The Breitner trio (with Lars Wouters- van den Oudenweijer and Thomas Beijer), The Lunel Kwartet,and harpists Lavinia Meijer and Marie-Pierre Chavaroche.
