Alexey Lundin

1st violinist Orchestre Moscow, soloist

Born in Moscow in 1971. Playing the violin at the age of 5 and at 13 debuted in concert with Mendelssohn’s E minor Concerto. Studying at the famous Moscow Gnessin School. In 1990 Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. As a member of a piano trio, in 1993 a prize-winner of Chamber Ensembles Competition in Trappani (Italy); in 1996 won the Contest in Weimar (Germany). In 1998 primaries of “Mozart Quartet”. The “Mozart Quartet” had a leading position in Russia’s musical life and in 2001 won the Shostakovich String Quartet Competition. Since 1997, Alexey Lundin was concertmaster of the famous chamber orchestra “Moscow Virtuosi”. Alexey also is often playing with the orchestra’s chief conductor Vladimir Spivakov in duos of J.S. Bach, Vivaldi and Schnittke. Alexey is also soloist and recording for various labels,  taking part in TV and radio shows. In 2000 Alexey was given a grant of “Triumph Award” for his achievements in the arts and literature. Alexy is Professor Conservatory Moscow and Concertmaster, Meritorious Artist of Russia
